This typical Tongass National Forest scenery was observed from the
author's home in Ketchikan, Alaska. The first time Elaine and Steve's daughter
visited in Ketchikan, Stephanie was given the "Grand Tour" by the local bush
pilots and by boat. As she was preparing to board the plane on her return flight
to "civilization" she remarked, "Well, it certainly is beautiful, but what do you
do with all the beauty? It's not possible to enjoy it all at one time."
